Their only daughter, Patricia Temitope Alabi, was born on October 27th 1970. Madam Agnes Kehinde and Pa Joseph Akinyele were her parents.
Music Career
Tope Alabi first gained attention in 2000 after releasing her debut album Oore ti O Common. As a result of this album, she became famous and was given the moniker Oore ti o Common and Agbo Jesu. Her previous albums were Ikoko Dudu and Baba Iwo la k’epe.
As a cover of a makossa hit, she first performed Oore ti o common (uncommon favour) in 2000. Adake dajo, Angeli Mi, and other soundtracks were also done by her.
Tope Alabi has released eleven albums. The Spirit of Light, 2019, was created by popular songwriter and photographer TY Bello. According to Tope, the album was not planned. After worshipping God, the duo decided to make an album out of it. Logan Ti O De shattered the internet.
Tope Alabi Gospel Vibes
The Tope Alabi Gospel Vibes label is run by Tope Alabi and her husband Soji. A lot of people come to worship God at events and concerts organised under this label. Praise the Almighty Concert is one of the worship concerts.
Also, they established the Mardebra Comforter Foundation, a subsidiary of the Gospel Vibes. Through the foundation, Tope and her husband cater for orphans and the less privileged.
