In addition to being a music producer, gospel singer, CDS, VCDS, radio presenter, and the founder of Fresh FM Radio Station, Ibadan, Yinka Ayefele is a Nigerian.
Ipoti-Ekiti, a city in Ekiti State in southwestern Nigeria, is where Ayefele was born. For his primary and secondary education, he attended Our Saviours Anglican Primary School in Ipoti-Ekiti, before attending Ondo State College of Arts and Science in Ikare Akoko, Ondo State.
Career
In addition to producing jingles and musical works for radio, Ayefele briefly worked as a journalist and broadcaster at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Ibadan. After an automobile accident that left him in a wheelchair and damaged his spinal cord, Yinka began his music career in 1997.
A friend of his, Kola Olootu, visited him after he spent nine months in the hospital and advised him to write some songs. This suggestion resulted in the release of his debut album titled Bitter Experience in 1998 which brought him into the limelight. After Bitter Experience, Sweet Experience was released.
In honour of Nigerian radio presenter, musician and comedian Gbenga Adeboye, the gospel musician has also released an album titled “Life after death,” as well as another album titled Something Else. His ordeal was reflected in the title Bitter Experience, and the sweet experience followed.
Achievements
• He was awarded Member of the Order of Niger by Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, the former president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2011.
